As some of the long time SIRadio listeners know, my younger brother is an avid guitar player and I have played some of his previous work on the station. As of late he is in a new band called Portkey, (yes, from Harry Potter) and I’m doing that whole older sister thing and spreading the word of his awesomeness.
Portkey is a 4 piece Alternative Emo/Indie band from Massachusetts. They just released a new EP called "When I Die I Want Everything To Die With Me" through Sleep On It Records. Physical copies of the EP will be released on Jan 21st 2016.
Check out the band’s sound cloud @ https://soundcloud.com/portkeyband.
It is with a sad heart that we've learned Ian ‘Lemmy’ Kilmister from the band Motorhead has passed on. What is known at this time is he died at the age of 70 in his home after learning about an aggressive cancer on December 26th. His passing was sudden which makes the news that much more shocking. Split Infinity would like to extend condolences to his friends and family. Rock On Lemmy you'll be missed !
Lionhead Studios has announced today that the open beta for Fable Legends, previously planned for the holiday season, has been delayed. According to studio executives, the team has put more work into this Fable title than any other and they need a bit more time to get it ready for the public. Considering that the game was first announced way back in August 2013, they have indeed come a long way. They explain:
"To be honest, we didn’t anticipate just how big Fable Legends is becoming. It’s simply the most ambitious game we’ve ever created at Lionhead. We’ve built a unique and innovative multiplayer experience combining RPG and RTS gameplay which allows you to play, and use your gear seamlessly, across Xbox One and Windows 10. On top of this, we’ve built a beautiful new world full of grand stories and adventures. And it’s taking more time than we thought."
As disappointing as the delay is for many, a new opportunity is now open to join the closed beta. Lionhead will be adding 100,000 new players, giving priority to those who have waited the longest. If you would like to add your name to the list, you may do so at https://www.fablelegends.com/.
