I always steer clear of most FPS games because honestly it's a lot of blind luck that I can make it anywhere without being cannon fodder. That said with no Rift, Wildstar or Wow at the moment with my gaming rig taking a crap I took the plunge during Target's incredible buy 2 get 1 free and bought the game for my Xbox1. I can't say it enough it's well worth the money.
Set in the near future, Private Military Contractor Atlas is lead by Jonathan Irons (Kevin Spacey) who is shaping the ways of war through advanced technology like the Exo Suit that features items such as Stims, Grappling Hooks and Boosters for jumping. Since Atlas is a Private Contractor it's not restrained by policy so they can basically go anywhere and do any mission they choose. You come to work for Irons after being wounded and relieved from active duty.
As I made my way through covert ops like rescuing a Diplomat or going after the terrorist called Hades it was easy for me to get drawn into the game. I was floored by the graphics and yes I even died a few times because I just had to look around (good thing it wasn't IRL). The cut scenes blend beautifully with the missions making the story arcs flow seemlessly and had me not wanting to shut the game off.
I don't want to give it all away, because you really want to experience it for yourself, but I can tell you boats, planes and drones will at some point be under your command. I haven't tried the Multiplayer mode yet (I'm not that brave) but I'd be willing to give it a go if any of you guys reading this has an Xbox1 - add me DjKrystl .....
