Fenix Rage is a new title that just hit Steam like a thunderbolt this past week. Having seen the wildly popular MANvsGAME play it on his Twitch channel, I decided that I wanted to get in on the action myself. I immedately found out exactly where the RAGE portion of this game's name came from!
If you've somehow managed to miss out on Fenix Rage until now, here is the launch trailer:
You play as a cute little critter, running through levels trying to snag a cookie and escape while dodging monsters and obstacles of all types. It sounds so easy, right? Yeah, not so much. Check me out trying to not fail while playing here on Twitch. (Warning: I have potty mouth, but you already knew that.)
Honestly, the only reason I stopped playing was that my hand had a horrible controller cramp! It's very addictive and a lot harder than it looks. I had a lot of fun even though it took me a while to figure out some of the timing and exact mechanics of each level. The level designs are well done, with just the right amount of challenge that keep you coming back for more. Luckily, the soundtrack is amazing, because I had to listen to it a lot while running some levels repeatedly!
If you're intrigued you can pick Fenix Rage up now on PC via Steam for a promotional price of $11.99 until October 1, then the price goes up to $14.99. Mac users, don't fret! It will be out for you in late October! XBox One and Playstation 4 folks will see Fenix Rage in early 2015.
