Grand Theft Auto 5 is big, it's really big. It's so mind bogglingly big that you can rip a line from Hitch Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy and use in in a news piece about the game. It's bloody big.
News has just filtered through just how big it is, and we're about to tell you, right after the break.
It's huge, and I'm sure they'll thank you for noticing.
But it seems that GTA 5, which is out on September 17th is so big that not only will it come on two discs for the XBOX 360 (one for PS3) but it'll require a mandatory 8 gig install to your hard drive.
This isn't necessarily a terrible thing as it will mean that XBOX gamers will be able to play the game by using disc 2 and there'll be no need for disc swapping between multiplayer or any missions, which seems to be a lesson learned from LA Noire.
A statement on the Rockstar website stated that
"Grand Theft Auto 5 is the largest and most ambitious game we have yet created, and takes full advantage of every ounce of processing power available in the current generation of consoles."
And that in addition to the instillation requirements, which are due to the "massive and detailed world" they've created that gamers who don't have space on their hard drives can use or an external 16GB USB flash drive with at least 8 GB of free space.
They said that any flash drive used would need to be of a certain specification which is that it needs to be at least USB 2.0 with a minimum 15mb/s read speed and formatted for Xbox 360 use.
All of the information concerning flash drives seemed to be geared towards XBOX owners, but we can at least assume the same rules apply for PS3 owners.
Rockstar also teased us with the notion of a soon to be released gameplay video, and we'll have that for you too as soon as we get our grubby little hands on it.
