So, those cheeky chaps over at Rockstar Games have teased us with more delights from the world of GTA V.
As the world, his dog and it’s fleas are already more than aware the game is due out in little over a month (September 17th if you don’t fit into world, dog or flea category) Rockstar have decided to tease us with a couple of things to make our gaming palettes that little bit wetter with anticipation with a plethora of screenshots, some background to some of what you’ll see and hear in the game world, an interactive travelogue on their website and a reminder of another upcoming trailer.
Click after the break to find out more.
So, aside from the screenshots which you can see in their entirety here, what we have to grace our eyes is that travelogue. Right now it showcases a few of the delights you’ll get to see in the world of Los Santos including a promise of shopping and glamour, affordable healthcare, fat cars, accessible air travel, beaches and watersports and the great outdoors.
One of the more interesting and unique parts of GTA V has been announced within this travelogue, whether or not it’s just background fodder, an integral or in any way playable part of the story is unclear right now, but it seems there will be a gubernatorial contest within the story between the liberal governor Sue Murry and conservative candidate, Jock Cranley. This gubernatorial race does showcase the candidacy videos which you can view alongside all of the other goodies on the official GTA site here.
Rockstar have promised that the site and it’s travelogue will be updated “soon” with greyed out areas offering music and entertainment, exclusive country clubs and a whole lot more to keep coming back for, before that September morning we’re all looking forward to more than Christmas.
The last thing we’ve been teased with is the announcement of a multiplayer trailer. This will be coming to us on Thursday August 15th, so those of us wanting to get our crime on in the online world will be able to find out more this week.
GTA 5 is looking to be one of the biggest games ever, analysts at Sterne Agee have anticipated 20 million copies of the games could well be sold by March 2014, and this could get bigger as an ever growing petition to bring the game to PC has reached an impressive 200,000 signatures.
