League of Legends officially announced a new game mode called N.U.R.F, short for “New Ultra Rapid Fire”, this week, in which they claimed it was unveiling... "the future of gaming." They were hoping to make this a followup to last year's April Fool's Day stunt which introduced the temporary game mode URF, or “Ultra Rapid Fire.”
Check out all the information League posted about the new game mode below!
So last year Riot Games creators of League of Legends created a fun and entertaining game mode called U.R.F (Ultra Rapid Fire)where there was special buffs for both sides.
0 costs for Mana and Energy Rescources
80% cooldown reeuction for active items, abilities, and spells
Doubled attack speed for ranged champions
+60 movement speed for all champions
+25 tenacity for all champion
+25% critical strike damage for ranged champions
x5 gain gold income on all champions
With these insane buff's to all champions you could have so many diferent insane team comps that it would blowyou're mind. Seeing as how powerful the buffs would make certain champions Riot did ban certain champions fromthis game mode due to the fact they would be far too OP to deal with making the mode not fun at all,
those champions fo example were Kassadin and Karatine along with several others and if you play league as much as i do you will understand why.
The player community loved this gamemode so much and gave Riot so much possitive response to the mode that they decided to bring it back for URF day but make several changes to it.This new and improved gamemode is called N.U.R.F (New Ultra Rapid Fire) along with the NEW fancy title for this revamped gamemode there is a new lot of buffs.
+100% mana and energy cost on all abilities
+200% cooldown inflation on abilities, items and summoner spells
+225 movement speed reduction
+200% delay between basic attacks
Critical strikes deal 50% of base AD
Units critically strike on 150% of attacks
"Will the upper limit of the potential for human competition skyrocket with the introduction of New Ultra Rapid Fire? Can you rise to the resulting challenge? Can a mere man defeat a manatee? When it comes to League of Legends, that last answer is indubitably yes, but no matter. The gauntlet is thrown. Hoist it at thine own risk."
