New this week on Indie Saturday Premiere - Fight The Dragon

Recently added to Steam Early Access Fight The Dragon is a user generated Hack N'Slash RPG that can be explored solo, local split screen 2 person mode or an online 4 person multiplayer mode. Each random, non-linear adventure takes between 10-15 minutes to complete which allows you to jump in for a quick fix or play longer multiplayer session.

During each session you will  loot, level up and collect scrolls to enter the Dragon Battle Arena where you will go head to head in solo combat with the Dragon Boss. For those thinking "I can rofl-stomp this dragon!" think again, it will take multiple encounters in order to slay it. Don't get discouraged though all damage done to the dragon is permanent so stock up on those scrolls!

I had a chance to catch up with director and code monkey from @3Sprockets Seon Rozenblum:

What was your inspiration behind Fight The Dragon?

I've always loved D&D and fantasy board games and novels/movies etc, so it's always been on my radar as a game dev to attempt a game like FTD. It was just about finding the right time and having enough resources. I've been making games as a full time indie since 2006, but it took this long before I thought we could pull of a game of this scale and quality.

Was the game designed with player created content in mind or did that happen during development as feedback came in about the game?

That was a must have from day one. We are huge fans of empowering the community and allowing them to create, so having a comprehensive editor in game was the first thing we started working on.

So what is this Adventure Construction Kit? Let's break it down: players will have access to the same tools 3 Sprockets used when creating the game. You will be able to sculpt environments, plan enemy encounters, write NPC dialogue, build puzzles and create simple logic systems with this simple and easy to use kit. User generated content is the core pillar to FTD and the commuity is rising to the occasion already producing amazing adventures.

There are (3) packs on Steam for purchase, what is the difference and will everyone have access to the online multiplayer mode without having a host server?

1 pack - solo play, 2 pack - local split screen co-op , 4 pack - multiplayer online. Yes, servers are hosted by us, so everyone can share their session or join someone elses.

Are there plans down the road for additonal content to be released?

We are constantly adding new content and we have a super long list of things to get through before we are satisfied that we have enough.
