Shadow Of Mordor

I've had a lot of down time lately due to PC issues so to pass the time I picked up a copy of Shadow Of Mordor to help break in our newest console addition, an XBox One. I'm very particular when it comes to games and even though I was excited about it's release I wasn't sure if it would be a game I would see through to the end. Boy was I wrong in fact I'm having a hard time putting it down.

Let's break it down - the graphics are stunning, the storyline from what I've seen is well written and the combat is FUN! From stealth attacks to aerial takedowns you can hack and slash your way through all kinds of enemies. Sometimes the Orcs will do it for you by challenging each other to move up in rank.

I am having more fun raiding the Strongholds then following the storyline. Sure I'll do a few of the quests but I'm on a mission to toss a monkey wrench in the raising of Sauron's Orc army. There's nothing like climbing buildings in a Stronghold, picking your target and doing an aerial somersault onto the unsuspecting head of your target! It really makes for some good smack talk to your TV (I'm surprised my hubby or kids haven't secretly taped me and tossed it on YouTube).

You also have archery abilities when you don't feel like getting down and dirty. Headshots-BOOM, blowing things up-oh yea and I've even gained a ShadowStrike ability that teleports me to my target delivering devastating damage or stopping my target from running off (my smack talk is very scary lol).

There's been comparison of Shadow being the Assasins Creed gamers have been craving. I personally haven't played AC but I've seen enough of my husbands gameplay to see similarites in the graphics when scaling towers and stealth attacking from above. Honestly I'm having so much fun that I just might tackle AC once I've conquered the Orcs.

Although it's not a multiplayer game you will open up "Vengance" objectives that you're able to avenge other players deaths by killing the Captain that caused their demise. I've recently made the first of several "challenges" to our very own DJ Villan via Twitter. Got your own copy of Shadow and want to join in on the challenges hit me up on Twitter @DJKrystl. I'm giving Shadows a solid 10 the game definately won't disappoint.
