When I purchased this game I knew it would be a joint adventure with my daughter as she loves a good scare like I do. Being a firm believer that horror films, games etc need to be watched/played in the dark I plunged my living room into darkness. Grabbing my controller I took a deep breath and started our journey as Detective Sebastian Castellanos.

Now TEW is a survivor horror game that puts you in the lead detective position investigating a mass murder. You’re knocked unconscious and when you awaken you find yourself in a cell in an insane asylum. As you journey into madness you will work off and on with your fellow detectives to uncover the evil behind the events playing out around you.

The game pits you against creatures like zombies and mutations which may at times feel familiar this is due to the fact that the games creator is Shinji Makami who brought us the Resident Evil series. If you are fans of games like Dead Space (1 & 2 the 3rd wasn’t scary to me) and the Resident Evil series you will not be disappointed. The creep factor at times is off the charts and with 15 chapters to complete you will have hours of heart pounding, look over your shoulder scares.

I’m giving this game a 10 and if you happen to be an Xbox Gold member for a short time you can grab a digital copy off the store for $30.00. Don't have an XB1 you can grab a copy on PS4, XBox 360, PS3 and PC.
