In advance of SyFys Season 3 premier of Defiance on June 12th, Trion Worlds have released some new content to delve into called Alcatraz Island. In addition to adding new items to the Bit Store such as new outfits and boosts there’s also a new EGO rating cap of 6,000, new Expeditions and more! Read on for additional info.
You’ll also be able to customize your Rigs with up to 16 Cyber Chips. What exactly is a Cyber Chip and how does it work? Each chip can be added to your gear to improve weapons, shields, vehicles etc. You can get your hot little hands on these through Expedition boss kills as well as breaking down Cyber gear clogging up your bags for Silicon Shards that can be used at a special vendor.
To kick off taking part in the new content Trion is giving players the following items by redeeming the code ALCATRAZ At Defiance.com/redeem. If you’re playing on a console your account will need to be linked in order to get the goods:
- Your first Cyber Rig
- 3 Cyber Chips
- 3 Chip pullers
- 3 Hunter Requisitions
