A Simple Complex's description on their facebook page sums it up "Heavy enough for the mosh pit - rock enough for the radio." The band is from Manchester and is heating up the local scene from winning the Hippo Press Readers Poll for Best Local Band Performing Mostly Originals to being nominated by the New England Music Awards Committee for best NH band two years in a row.
Not only have they been featured on 35 FM stations across the US but they've also premiered on several internet radio stations that now includes Split Infinity. They've shared the stage with bands like Powerman 5000, Drowning Pool and Sevendust to name a few. You can find them tearing up the music charts on Amazon as well.
We had a chance to catch up with Mark in our IRC channel during my ISP set. Here's a few of the more candid Q&A:
Villan> so, when it comes to instruments what's your weapon of choice?
<mark_asimplecomplex> My weapon of choice is the Epiphone SG Goth. light, cheap and I can bang it around and not feel like I'm wrecking something too pricey lol
mark_asimplecomplex> Each year since 2011 we've released 3 songs, so that's 9 we've put out so far. This year we'll release 3 more for a total of 12. Those 12 songs tell a story when you arrange them into a certain order.....
Krystl|OnAir> so Mark, what was the inspiration behind Coin?
mark_asimplecomplex> Coin is the part ofthe story where she (the person the story is about) is stuck in a bad relationship and is wishing she could get out.
