New this week on Indie Saturday Premiere - Drayton Road & Nephilym

The first song I previewed from Nephilym was Undiscovered which really describes this Indie rock band from North Carolina. . Their song Pandora's Lullaby seamlessly changes tempo's from a hard rock sound reminiscent of Evans Blue or Avenged Sevenfold to meld into a grittier heavy metal sound that you would expect from Mudvayne or SlipKnot. Their unique cover of The Cranberries song Zombie showcases the versatility of this band. Find them on:

DraytonRoad is named for the only rock station in Fayetteville, North Carolina that was available to these guys as they were growing up. The band is comprised of current and former members of Nephilym/Messenger of Hope, Evans City Saints, Pinebox Destiny and Iselia/Kaustic & Driven. They are currently playing local venues in the North Carolina area.

My introduction to them is a song called Rise of Master Splinter which, from the get go grabs your attention with the heavy sounds of guitar & drums. They have a mainstream sound that is uniquely theirs so if you are fans of Adelitas Way or Three Days Grace then you don't want to miss their songs Cleveland Steamer & Coconut Doughnut to name a few.
