Start by typing in the artist:
Another great local band out of North Carolina The Omega Project combines different genres into a sound uniquely their own. They've shared the stage with more then 25 national recording artists and recently released their new single Go Home which is available on ITunes, Amazon & Google Play.
I had a chance to catch up with TJ:
What brought you guys together as a band?
Like any other band out there, we came together out of necessity. Five dudes wanting to be in a band that was willing to not be the same ole same, creativity we all just wanted to write music that moved us and not try so hard to fit in with everything else going around. Yes we have metal riffs and rock vocals and new school gear and all that, but never once have we ever set out to write the heaviest song ever or the prettiest ballad or anything like that. It's all natural for us no limits and no expectations, just do what we do best and that's good enough.
Where do you draw your inspiration from?
Each other.. we really drive each other at every level, our singer comes from a hip hop background which challenges us to come up with creative ways to accommodate it, where as one of our guitar players is from a old school rock background which again challenges us to fit it all together and it works well! Every member is from a different sort of background which keeps us grounded, so that we don't do what everyone else is doing because it just wouldn't be us.
What can fans expect for 2014?
A full length album....produced by Chris Hill(Jam Pain Society) with feature tracks from Bonz (Stuck Mojo, Bonz) and a track where we brought in a select group of our closest fans to sing backup vocals on. We've got a slew of gigs that will surely bring out the masses. We were direct support for some of the nationals best recording artists over the last 2 years and followed it up with a perfect 30 of 30 from project independent and a runner-up "Rock Band of the Year" at the CMA's, so yeah 2014 here we come!
